John M. Shuler, MA, MDiv, LPC, NCC
John Shuler earned his MA in Counseling from the Reformed Theological
Seminary and his Master’s of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical
Divinity School. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor in North
Carolina and a National Certified Counselor.
John joined Associates in Christian Counseling in 2002 and works
with a variety of clients including adults, children and adolescents,
and at-risk youth. In addition to couples and family therapy, he
is experienced in play therapy with children, grief, depression,
anxiety, past abuse issues, domestic violence, men’s issues,
and church related issues.
Having worked in pastoral ministry, John saw the tremendous need
within the Body of Christ for quality, Christ-centered counseling.
He believes “inward issues are best dealt with when the Holy
Spirit invades a life and brings about change.” John feels
called “to give an extra measure of grace to hurting people
who need spiritual assistance through a personal struggle at that
time.”
The purposes of a man’s heart
are deep waters,
but a man of understanding draws them out.
