I Serve - Todd Chase
Todd Chase joined the Board of Directors of Associates in Christian Counseling in 2008.
“I heard about Associates in Christian Counseling three years ago when I met Dr. Joe Verga through the New Canaan Society, a men’s fellowship which meets here in town. With my term on another community board ending, I was feeling drawn to be involved with a Christian organization. It made it an easy decision when I was asked to serve.”
As someone who has been in the financial industry for 20 years, Todd is very aware of the strain on relationships and stress on families of these challenging economic times. He sees the uniqueness of Associates in blending Christian principles with professional counseling as a powerful one which can impact our community, especially now. “I think the fact that Associates can deliver a message of hope to people is critical in treating the whole person and helping them determine the best path for their lives.”
Associates has often been described as the best kept secret in town. Todd would like others to know that as a non-profit they strive to serve all those in need. “One thing I did not know initially was the number of clients served that would not normally be able to receive services because of economic constraints. The staff is top notch and clients receive the same quality care as they would from a for-profit group but with the added benefit of a Christian perspective.”
Mr. Chase’s heart to serve Associates comes from close to home. Todd’s younger sister is currently working toward her doctorate in Christian counseling at Fuller Theological Seminary’s School of Psychology while his younger brother is bi-polar. Watching them live out their faith through their unique perspectives has made his commitment to serve on Associates’ Board a great fit.
Todd Chase is Vice President, Senior Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch.
He and his wife, Becca, have 4 children and have lived in Winston-Salem since 1994.
