Friends of ACC - Chuck and Lucretia Pruett

The Pruetts are faithful friends, volunteers, and financial supporters of ACC. Chuck has served for many years on ACC’s Advisory Council as well as helping in a variety of other ways. Lucretia has volunteered at each banquet and is also “the voice” of ACC’s phone system.

“The first time I met Joe Verga and heard about ACC was at church,” Chuck said. “Joe was giving a talk one evening and my wife suggested we go to hear him; she already knew him through the church’s prayer ministry. I was glad to meet him and we were very impressed with what we learned about Associates in Christian Counseling that night.”

“For most of our married lives, Chuck and I have had a heart for children,” shared Lucretia. “Before I was married, I worked for an outpatient psychiatric center for children. That experience exposed me to many of the needs they have. It makes me really appreciate the services ACC offers to children.” Lucretia went on to say that, even as adults, many people had difficult experiences as children. “ACC provides a safe haven to unravel things from one’s past which impact adult life and relationships.”

In addition to their love for children, the Pruetts also have a heart for non-profit ministries which demonstrate God’s grace to people. “ACC is not just for Christians seeking help. Because of the training and professionalism of the clinical staff, everyone gets top-notch services,” stated Lucretia. “Their integrity and commitment to privacy and confidentiality should give hurting people the confidence and courage to seek help.”

Chuck Pruett’s desire is that ACC would become more widely recognized in our community. “Greater financial support from our community would in turn mean a greater capacity for Associates in Christian Counseling to meet the needs of hurting people.”

Chuck and Lucretia say they consider their involvement with this ministry an opportunity to use their gifts in a variety of ways. We would like to thank them for all they have done, and continue to do, to support ACC!
