November 2006

November 1st marks the opening of an exciting new chapter in the life of Associates in Christian Counseling. It is the beginning of a partnership with Surry Baptist Association.

From time to time, ACC has had clients who came from Mt. Airy and southern VA.  With this affiliation, ACC therapist, John Shuler, LPC, will be providing services at Surry Christian Counseling Center right in Mt. Airy.

Please be sure to read each article this month to sense God’s hand in weaving this together! If you have family, friends, or co-workers who live or work in Surry County, please help to spread the good news.

Dr. Joe Verga
Executive Director, ACC

A Friend of ACC - Dr. Don Mann

Don Mann enjoys a long history with ACC.  In the late ‘80s, he became a member of the original steering committee which turned the vision of local pastors into the reality of Associates in Christian Counseling.

When asked about why he supported ACC, Don shared: “As a pastor, I think there are two compelling reasons.  It is, of course, a thoroughly Christian resource. Yet it is also a reliable resource for pastors to recommend to their members and have the confidence of professional care.  That’s the best of both worlds— counseling staff with professional training and a Christian worldview.
