Kathy Kellum, PhD, LPC
Kathy Kellum received her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Iowa in 2009; a Masters of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1995; and a Masters of Education in Student Personnel from Texas A&M University in 1986. Dr. Kellum is a Licensed Professional Counselor in North Carolina.
Kathy enjoys working with a broad range of ages and concerns. Two of her special areas of interest are working with ministerial and missionary personnel and college students. She is also trained to administer various assessment instruments for learning disabilities, career and other psychodiagnostic evaluations.
Dr. Kellum describes the value of Christian counseling as allowing both the client and the counselor to explore issues of faith as an integral part of the counseling process in a safe environment. Her hope is that the process will allow clients to grasp the breadth and depth of God's love for them.
When she’s not working, Kathy enjoys traveling and visiting friends with her husband, Kelly, who is the senior pastor at High Point Friends Meeting.
Give Our Lord the benefit of believing that His hand is leading you;
accept the anxiety of feeling yourself in suspense and incomplete.
Above all, trust in the slow work of God.
