Associates in Christian Counseling
About Us Christian Counseling Services Resource Room FAQ's Annual Banquet

What services does Associates offer?
We offer complete counseling and psychological services to people of all ages and backgrounds. We also offer Christian counseling to those who desire an approach that considers faith and spirituality.  Please see our Services page for details.

What is Christian counseling?
Christian counseling combines professional counseling techniques as well as faith principles in a unique approach to mental health issues.  Our therapists hold graduate degrees and state licenses and also have training and experience in the integration of these areas. Please see a complete description of Christian Counseling.

Who can use your services?
We work with clients from 4 to 85 regardless of race, gender, or religious affiliation.

Do you accept insurance if I have coverage?
More than half of our clients use health insurance.  Since policies and benefits vary greatly, we will contact your insurance carrier before scheduling a first appointment.  Clients are responsible for charges not covered by their insurance which are payable at the time of service.

What if I have financial concerns?
Associates works to make it possible for those seeking services to receive treatment.

How do I make an appointment?
Call Associates at 336-896-0065, ext. 203, and speak with our Intake Coordinator.  If you have health insurance, please have your card available at that time.

May I choose my own therapist?
You may request a particular therapist.  Your preference will be honored if your presenting issue is within their treatment area.  Each of our therapists is introduced on our Staff page.

Will I have to wait very long to see someone?
We make every effort for your first appointment to be within a week or two of your initial call.  Emergencies will be given priority and generally are seen within 48 hours.

How long does therapy take?
The length of treatment depends on many factors but is primarily determined by the nature of the issue and the motivation of the client.

What if I need medication?
Our therapists do not prescribe medication but if it is needed, they will make a referral or work with your primary care physician to help encourage that part of your treatment.

How can I refer someone else to Associates?
Let them know that we are available to everyone and we are here to help.  You may encourage them to visit our website or simply to call our Intake Coordinator at
336-896-0065, ext. 203, to discuss making an appointment.
